Donald Duck has a train that he rides around in his back yard. He has a tiny village as part of his layout. One day while putting down some new track, he decides that a tree is too big for his train layout, and so the tree is felled. The tree was home to Chip and Dale, two chipmonks (ed. note: never mind that chipmonks live in burrows, not tree hollows). Chip and Dale wander down the track, find the train, and take it for a ride, eventually coming to the village. They explore it and discover that everything is just their size. So, they move into a tiny house, clean it up, and make it look nice. All that work makes them tired, and they go to sleep in the house's bedroom. Donald now discovers that his train is missing. He gets furious and stomps down the track, sure that someone has stolen his train and wrecked it. When he finds the train in the village, he scouts around and sees tiny footprints, which he follows. Eventually he finds Chip and Dale asleep. Then Donald notices that everything has been cleaned up, and that Chip and Dale are just the right size. They become friends, and Donald now lets the chipmonks drive the train with Donald as a passenger. A great kid story. Maybe it sounds sappy to you, but it is better than many other stories, and it has a nice moral.
